WHY CONTRIBUTE TO PERRF?

We believe there is an absolute value in all creatures and we endeavor to create a loving and humane environment. The Pennsylvania Equine Rescue & Retirement Foundation (PERRF – EIN 25-2595048), a dignified and compassionate nonprofit organization, relies on the generosity of our supporters to fund our work to fight animal welfare. We are boots on the ground, rescuing slaughter-bound horses, helping individuals in the community.

PERRF also provides horses in need with emergency support. We assist owners who are facing temporary hardship but remain committed to the good welfare of their horses. We offer hay/feed, veterinary/dental care and farrier services.

The Pennsylvania Equine Rescue & Retirement Foundation (PERRF, Inc) is a nonprofit incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania and organized under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Service. PERRF (EIN 25-2595048) is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

*advocate, encourage and educate the public concerning the welfare of unwanted, abused horses,

*provide rescue, rehabilitation and sanctuary to abused, neglected or slaughter-bound horses,

*contribute to the betterment of mankind by creating and operating equine assisted learning program and related activities for veterans & their families, victims from domestic and sexual violence, and troubled families,

*assist local rescue groups and individuals in times of natural disaster or personal hardship.

*prevent cruelty to animals and raise funds for the purpose of having animals gelded/spayed/neutered to prevent over-breeding, and improve the lives of equines and animals throughout the United States.

These are guiding principles that offer a safe and healthy environment for our animals. It follows that our vision is to provide a safe, therapeutic, nature-based environment for both people and horses to regain trust. This is achieved through compassion and care between the animal and the individual, and it provides the opportunity to improve social, mental and spiritual coping skills.

PERRF is a trustworthy 501(c)(3) charity with a small budget and a big mission! The success of our mission depends on the generosity of our supporters, so whether you donate time, money, and/or services, you are making a commitment that will have a huge impact on helping save horses. Our promise to you is that we will continue fighting the good fight by helping horses move from dangerous, life-threatening situations to places of safety, health, and happiness. This will not only save horses, but also strengthen the bond between humans and horses.
